PrimaryLeap’s interactive courses are designed to enhance the learning experience by providing structured and engaging content. This guide will help you understand how to manage interactive courses for your student classes, including auto-scheduling, manual assignments, and tracking progress.
Auto-Scheduling Interactive Courses
Auto-Scheduling Feature:
When auto-scheduling is enabled, interactive courses are automatically added to student schedules. This feature ensures that students receive a consistent and comprehensive educational experience tailored to their learning level.
To enable auto-scheduling, navigate to the settings in your teacher dashboard and activate the auto-schedule option for the relevant school year.
Adding and Changing Courses
Manual Course Assignment:
Log into your PrimaryLeap account.
Browse or search for the specific course you wish to assign.
On the course page, use the student selection option to assign the course to individual students or entire classes. You can choose to place the course next in their schedules or at a specific position.
Cloning Course Actions:
When you add or change a course within a student’s schedule, you can clone these actions across all students within a class.
Navigate to the student’s schedule, make the desired changes, and use the cloning option to replicate these changes for all students in the class. This ensures consistency across the entire class.
Connecting Classes to Courses
Assigning Classes from any Course:
From any course page, you can connect or assign an entire class to that course with just a few clicks.
Use the ‘Assign to Class’ option to quickly link the course to all students in a selected class, streamlining the assignment process.
Tracking Student Progress
Connected Students Tab:
On the course page, there is a ‘Connected Students’ tab. This tab displays all the students a teacher manages and shows their positions within the course.
The tab provides detailed insights, including the score for each lesson within the course and whether any lessons have been skipped by a student.
Monitoring and Adjusting:
Regularly check the ‘Connected Students’ tab to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments to the course schedule.
Use this data to identify students who may need additional support or to recognise those who are excelling.
Benefits of Using Interactive Courses
Structured Learning: Interactive courses provide a systematic approach to education, helping students build knowledge progressively.
Flexibility: Teachers can easily add or change courses within schedules, ensuring that the content remains relevant and engaging.
Consistency: Cloning actions across classes ensures that all students receive the same educational opportunities, promoting fairness and uniformity.
Detailed Tracking: The ‘Connected Students’ tab offers comprehensive tracking, allowing teachers to manage and support student progress effectively.
Managing interactive courses for student classes on PrimaryLeap enhances the educational experience by providing structured, engaging, and easily manageable content. By utilising auto-scheduling, manual assignments, cloning actions, and tracking student progress, teachers can ensure that their students receive a consistent and effective education.
