School Account
PrimaryLeap offers a robust set of management tools tailored to the needs of schools. These features support effective administration, comprehensive resource allocation, and enhanced educational experiences for students. This guide outlines the key school-wide management features available on our platform.
School Account Overview
School Sign-Up:
Schools can sign up for free, providing immediate access to our platform’s basic features. By subscribing to our newsletter, schools receive additional benefits, such as 20 assignments per student per month.
Primary Admin Account:
Each school account includes a primary admin account managed by the school administrator. This account oversees all operations, including teacher and student management.
Managing Teachers
Unlimited Teacher Accounts:
Schools can add an unlimited number of teachers to their PrimaryLeap account. This flexibility allows for comprehensive coverage across various subjects and classes.
Teacher Invitations:
Administrators can invite teachers to join the school account by sending email invitations. Teachers receive their own login credentials, enabling them to manage their classes independently while being part of the school's overall system.
Managing Students
Student Enrollment:
Schools can enrol students individually or through bulk uploads using a CSV file. This feature simplifies the enrollment process, especially for larger student bodies.
The student limit is based on the chosen subscription plan, ranging from 100 to 600 students. Free accounts can include up to 600 students, but each student is limited to 10 resources per month.
Connecting Students to Parents:
Schools can invite parents to join the platform, allowing them to add their children's information and stay updated on their progress. This feature promotes parental involvement and enhances the educational support system.
Assigning and Managing Resources
Assigning Worksheets and Workbooks:
Teachers can assign worksheets and workbooks to individual students or entire classes. This feature ensures that all students receive the appropriate materials for their learning needs.
Assignments can be created directly from any worksheet, workbook, course, or lesson page by selecting the relevant class or students.
Using Interactive Courses:
Interactive courses are automatically added to student schedules if auto-scheduling is enabled. Teachers can also manually assign courses and activities to classes or groups of students.
Actions within a student’s schedule can be cloned across all students within a class, ensuring consistency and ease of management.
Tracking Progress:
The ‘Connected Students’ tab on the course page displays all students managed by a teacher, showing their position in the course and scores for each lesson. Teachers can monitor if any lessons have been skipped and make necessary adjustments.
Data Management
Handling Inactive Students:
Schools can move inactive students to a disabled status, preserving their data without affecting the active student limit. This feature is useful for managing temporary absences or students who have left the school but may return.
Administrators can also permanently delete student accounts if necessary, removing all associated data.
Customisation and Branding
White-Labelled Worksheets:
Coming soon, schools will have the ability to download worksheets branded with their school logo instead of the PrimaryLeap logo. This customisation enhances the professional appearance of educational materials and reinforces school branding.
Benefits of School-Wide Management Features
Comprehensive Oversight: Administrators have a complete view of the school’s educational activities, enabling effective management and coordination.
Enhanced Collaboration: Teachers can work within a unified system, sharing resources and strategies to support student learning.
Parental Involvement: Engaging parents in the educational process helps to create a supportive environment for students both at school and at home.
Efficiency and Flexibility: Streamlined processes for managing students, teachers, and resources save time and reduce administrative burdens.
PrimaryLeap’s school-wide management features provide the tools needed to create an organised, efficient, and collaborative educational environment. By leveraging these capabilities, schools can enhance the learning experience for students and support teachers in delivering high-quality education.
