Interactive Features: Stock Rewards, Coins, and Exchanges
PrimaryLeap offers an engaging interactive reward system that motivates students to complete their lessons and activities. This guide explains the features available within the student portal, including how students can earn and trade element stocks, use coins to unlock special heroes and manage their schedules and activities effectively. The Frogonauts Story Once upon a time in a faraway galaxy, there existed a planet called Amphibia, where an extraordinary group of space frogs called the Frogonauts lived. These brave and adventurous frogs had evolved to survive in the harshest environments of space. With their webbed feet, long tongues, and powerful legs, they were known as the finest explorers and miners in the universe. The Frogonauts lived in a vibrant community on their home planet Amphibia. Amphibia was a lush rainforest planet, but the Frogonauts were an advanced scientific species, lightyears ahead of humans. Throughout this vast rainforest, a mega city existed, full of science labs and engineering factories. Their homes were built high up in the treetops, called treepods, where they could observe the twinkling stars and dream of grand adventures beyond their world. Having used many of their planet's resources to build their mega-city, they looked to the shimmering stars. One day, a group of young Frogonauts named Freddie, Lily, and Hoppy were sitting by the edge of a crystal-clear pond, their eyes gazing up at the night sky. As they admired the shimmering stars, a meteor shower lit up the darkness, showering the Frogonauts' world with sparkling fragments. Amazed by the cosmic display, the Frogonauts wondered about the origins of those glittering stones. Curiosity sparked within them, and they embarked on a mission to learn more about these celestial treasures. They believed that mining the asteroids floating in space would reveal the secrets of these rare element stones. Equipped with their specially designed space suits, the Frogonauts hopped aboard their trusty rocket ship, named LeapStar. With their paws on the controls and determination in their hearts, they launched into the infinite depths of space. Reward System and Frogonauts Frogonauts and Mining Asteroids: Each time a student completes a lesson, the Frogonauts mine an asteroid. When an asteroid is mined, the student receives element stocks. These elements include Gold, Nickel, Iron, and others. Element Stocks: Each element stock has a specific coin value that fluctuates daily. Students can choose to store their element stocks or sell them for coins, learning basic trading principles through buying and selling stocks. Using Coins and Unlocking Periodic Heroes Earning Coins: By selling element stocks, students earn coins. Coins can be used to unlock special characters known as "Periodic Heroes." Periodic Heroes: Periodic Heroes are based on elements from the periodic table. Each hero costs a different number of coins, providing a goal for students to work towards as they complete lessons and manage their stocks. Upcoming Student Portal Enhancements New Student Portal Experience: A completely refreshed student portal will be launched soon, designed to simplify the learning process and make it more fun and engaging for students. The portal will start from the classroom view, where students can see available activities and select subjects to focus on. Understanding Missions and Completion Blocks Completion Blocks (Missions): Activities are released in completion blocks, which are referred to as missions by students. Missions provide a structured and engaging way for students to complete lessons and earn rewards. Managing Student Schedules Student Schedules: Students have schedules that list their backlog of activities and lessons for each subject. PrimaryLeap’s auto settings connect these schedules to a lesson calendar based on the student’s age group. Lessons, Activities, and Courses: Lessons: Individual levels within activities that include information and exercises. Activities: Groups of up to three lessons focused on a specific subject matter. Courses: Collections of activities and lessons that cover a broader topic or subtopic on the site. Practical Application Viewing and Managing Schedules: Students can view their schedules from their dashboard, seeing which activities and lessons they need to complete. Parents, teachers, and school admins can help manage and adjust these schedules to ensure balanced and effective learning paths. Engaging with Interactive Features: Encourage students to actively engage with the reward system by completing lessons, managing their stocks, and unlocking Periodic Heroes. Use the feedback feature on each lesson to report any issues, helping to continuously improve the content quality. PrimaryLeap’s interactive features, including the reward system, element stocks, coins, and Periodic Heroes, provide an engaging and educational experience for students. By understanding and utilising these features, students can enhance their learning journey while having fun. Stay tuned for the upcoming enhancements to the student portal, which will further improve the user experience and engagement.
